The frustration of technology

As a teacher at heart, nothing makes me feel as good as hearing I have helped someone achieve something. For that reason, I love to show teachers new ways of doing things using the computer. For example, I showed a teacher a way to use microsoft excel to track their data and later converting the information into a colorful chart which we will enlarge on a large color printer for the class to see and use in their peer/teacher conferences.

On the flip side, it can be frustrating when teachers are not able to make their ideas become reality because of a technological issue such as, not enough outlets, software issues, and broken hardware. If the state wants the schools to be competitive, then they need to supply the classroom with technology like tablets which are excellent learning tools.

When teachers want to buy and incorporate a wonderful educational app and I have to decline the request, it is frustrating and leads the teachers to feel disappointed and less likely to ask for things related to technology in the classroom.
